Problem
This local chain is made up of 6 locations. All locations were challenged daily with a never-ending battle of fruit/drain flies, drain odors, and slippery/greasy floors.
Test
One location used BioProtect FOG and Sugar Eliminator for the duration of a month as a weekly drain treatment and daily floor cleaner, before rolling out the program to the group.
TREATMENT PROTOCOL
- Product used: FOG and Sugar Eliminator 4/1 Gal
- All drains (sink, floor, bathroom, hand etc.) treated once per week with 8 oz of undiluted product.
- Dispensers were installed to automatically dilute to 2 oz per gallon of water for mopping.
- Mop and let dry with regular mopping routine in back-of-house and front-of-house, with no rinse needed.
Results
With consistent once per week treatments in all drains, Gecko’s has been able to eliminate the food source for the fruit/drain flies and rid their restaurants of drain odors.
After consistent mopping, the grease buildup on the floors in the BOH and FOH was eliminated. By installing dispensers, Gecko’s can now control the amount of product that is used to clean the floors, in turn helping to control costs. Using Global BioProtect’s product has also helped to create a safer work environment.
